ASPIRE

Peer Workers are a small but rapidly growing part of the Australian disability and mental health workforce. Although there is significant support at national and state levels for an increase in Peer Work roles, new employers face challenges in successfully introducing and including Peer Workers into their organisations.

The ASPIRE project is an innovative partnership program between people with psychosocial disability and employers to boost employable skills and employment outcomes, create new employment pathways for Peer Workers, drive inclusive practices by employers and increase the confidence and motivation of employers to employ and support Peer Workers.

This project is being delivered until 30th June 2024 and is generously funded by the Department of Social Services.

I was hitting barriers and thought applying for DSP was my only option. Hearing about ASPIRE I was given a pathway to possible employment. The course has given me the confidence to know that I can do this.
