Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work

Improving employment outcomes for the Peer Workforce through classroom delivery of a nationally recognised vocational qualification.
About the scholarship
The Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work qualification is currently running in conjunction with North Metro TAFE. CoMHWA is the lead non-training organisation in this collaboration and with support from the Mental Health Commission of WA, awards up to 30 scholarships for students with a lived experience of mental health, and/or alcohol and other drug issues, to complete the course. This great initiative builds capacity of the Peer Workforce and contributes to improved employment outcomes for Peer Workers.
Scholarships have been awarded for 2025, and applications for 2026 will open towards the end of the year.
Please note that North Metro TAFE only accepts Cert IV Peer Work Students through the CoMHWA scholarship program.

About the course
The CHC43515 Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work is a recognized national qualification, to be eligible people must have a personal experience as an individual with mental health distress, alcohol and/or other drug issues, or as a carer or family member. In this instance, CoMHWA scholarships are only available for campus mode study at North Metro TAFE, Leederville campus. This course is classed as full-time, with 2 days on campus and at least 2 days of additional study time needed for assignments.
