Peer Supervision Training: EOI’s now open!

Expressions of Interest are now open for the next round of Peer Supervision Training at CoMHWA.

This course is currently being offered FREE as part of the WA Mental Health Commissions commitment to supporting the Lived Experience (Peer) Workforces.

This is an intensive and fast paced course which provides training in Peer to Peer – discipline specific supervision (as distinct from line management or clinical supervision), by and for, the mental health consumer/Peer Workforce in Western Australia. As far as we are aware, it is the first of its kind to be delivered in Western Australia.

The course is heavily practice and reflection based, thus your active participation in all sessions is important. The training is also heavily grounded in social justice principles, which can be personally challenging for some people. Therefore, it is important you allocate enough time and support outside of scheduled sessions to allow for both reflection and self-care. Please take this into consideration when deciding whether now is the right time for you to be undertaking the training.

The training will include a mixture of:

  • Weekly online Training via MS Teams 4pm – 8.30pm
  • Reflective practice homework and mandatory reading activities to be completed outside of class time (approx. 2 hours per week)
  • Assessments: to be completed both within and outside of class time

Click here to download the full information, including the eligibility criteria to address when submitting your EOI.

Applications are now open and will close at 11.59pm, Tuesday 6th August.
Send your completed EOI to admin@comhwa.org.au

Applicants will be notified by 9th August and the course will begin on Tuesday 27th August, running through to Tuesday 17th December.
