Peers-Helping-Peers Small Grants Program (up to $20,000)

CoMHWA are pleased to invite applications for the Peers-Helping-Peers Small Grants Program, delivered under a partnership funding agreement with the WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA).

This program recognises the vital role that community based, peer led groups play in supporting people with lived experience of mental health challenges, including depression and suicidality. Many of these groups are volunteer run and operate with limited resources. These grants are designed to provide time limited support to strengthen organisational capacity and capability, so groups can grow their reach and sustainability.

Grants of $2,000 to $20,000 are available. Funding can be used for capacity building activities such as strengthening governance and policies, expanding existing peer support activities, promotion and marketing (including websites and branding), training and skills development, incorporation costs, and professional or consultancy support.

The program is open to existing peer support groups only, including incorporated organisations, unincorporated groups, and auspiced groups that meet the eligibility requirements.

Priority will be given to projects delivering outcomes in Armadale, Bunbury, Esperance, Goldfields, Kimberley, Manjimup, the Midwest, and the Swan area, although applications from other locations may also be considered.

Applications open: Monday 22 December 2025

Applications close: 11:59pm Sunday 18 January 2026

All applications will be assessed by lived experience staff at CoMHWA, with outcomes advised within two weeks of the closing date.

To apply, please complete the online application form using the link below.

If you have any questions about the grant or your eligibility, please contact us at rseth@comhwa.org.au

We strongly encourage peer-led community groups to apply and look forward to supporting the important work you do alongside people with lived experience across Western Australia.
