New Peer Support Groups
New CoMHWA Peer Support Group at Lorikeet Centre
CoMHWA has been the welcome recipient of funding to set up a new peer group in Leederville! Our first workshop will be on Monday 5th September at the Lorikeet Centre, 104 Cambridge Street West Leederville, and will run from 10.45am – 2.00pm.This initial session will be to inform participants on NDIS and mental health in the morning and then a peer support group planning session in the afternoon. Recovery Connections in Midland
While on the topic of peer support groups, CoMHWA is pleased to announce another new group which has started in the Midland area. Recovery Connections is run by Anna Richards who has a wealth of knowledge on all things wellness and recovery. The sessions are by and for people with a lived experience of mental illness and / or emotional distress and aims for mutual support for personal growth and wellbeing.Please view the flyer for more information and to read the group guidelines.Your first session is free, we then ask for a gold coin donation for each meeting thereafter to cover the costs of tea and coffee provided.
