Minister for Mental Health Awards Peer Work Scholarships

The Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work qualification aims to enable the mental health peer workforce to take its place as a recognized, valued and integral part of mental health services.In recognition of the importance of peer support in WA and in acknowledgement of the achievement of the Scholarship recipients, the Minister for Mental Health Hon Andrea Mitchell awarded the 2017 Scholarship certificates to the successful Scholarship candidates.The Cert IV Mental Health Peer Support program is in partnership with North Metropolitan TAFE, the provider of the Cert IV course.  CoMHWA will support students during their studies through a bridging program and peer supervision.Scholarship funds were made available through the support and funding of the Mental Health Commission of Western Australia.
