Upcoming Community Forums and Consultations

Planned consultation for the draft National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health (NSQDMH) Standards.

These standards have been developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission). The Commission is also holding two open consultation forums for consumers, carers, clinicians and services providers:

  • Wednesday 6 May 2020, 12:00pm - 2:00pm AWST

  • Thursday 14 May 2020, 08:00am - 10:00pm AWST

The development of the NSQDMH Standards is a significant first step in providing safety and quality assurance for digital mental health service users, and best practice guidance for service providers and developers.

Standards will provide an authoritative indication of the actions or outcomes expected of a digital mental health service. They will cover clinical and technical domains including:

  • Clinical governance

  • Consumer and carer co-design and usability

  • Evidence base

  • Efficacy

  • Quality and performance

  • Privacy and data security

  • Accessibility.

The Commission plans to align the new standards with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards which provide a nationally consistent statement about the level of care that consumers and carers expect from health services.

Feedback can be provided:

Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Crisis Intervention Community Forums

Join the discussion on AOD crisis intervention needs in Western Australia, and explore current and optimal pathways for individuals in AOD crisis. We would like to hear from consumers, family members and carers and general community members.

This workshop is part of a broad community consultation process and this is the second in a series of Metro-focused Community Forum events. It will focus on exploring potential future services, both new and changes to existing ones, that have emerged as themes from engagement to date - what they might look like and how they could be implemented. You do not need to have attended a previous Community Forum in order to attend this one.

More information about the project and planned consultation can be found
