Exciting Announcement – National Consumer Peak Alliance Formed

Friday 1st November 2019 marked a historic day in the consumer movement with the announcement of the formation of the National Consumer Peak Alliance.

After many years of discussion and at the request of consumers across the country, CoMHWA, VMIAC (The Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council), Being NSW, ACT Mental Health Consumer Network, South Australia Lived Experience Leadership and Advocacy Network and Flourish Tasmania, have committed to the establishment of a National Consumer Peak Alliance led and owned by these state peak bodies that will influence, lead and advocate on behalf of people who experience mental health challenges.

This is a historic moment for our consumer movement in being heard at a national level.

Congratulations to all Alliance members and also to VIMIAC for its innovative and inuring work with the collective dream for a wonderful future.
