Message from the CEO: COVID-19 and CoMHWA
CoMHWA would like to acknowledge that in such uncertain times people with lived/living experience of mental health issues will experience extra stress and anxiety.Because we are all so different, we will have a huge range of responses to that – and they are all OK.Whatever your response, you are valuable and important.Here are some suggestions to help you take care of yourself during this time:
Take a break from the news and social media;
Look after yourself – get plenty of sleep, eat healthy meals and practice self-care strategies;
Stay in touch with friends and loved ones over the phone;
Seek accurate information from sources such as WA Health or the World Health Organisation;
Have a plan in place on where to go and how to seek help for physical and mental health if required.
