CoMHWA 2017 State Election - Our Election Asks
We’ve written to all major political parties to let people know that people with lived experience are bringing their voice to the 2017 State Election.CoMHWA’s Our Election Asks is a comprehensive set of calls for action.We call for mental health, suicide and alcohol and other drug issues to be major issues in their campaign platform, and seek commitments in 7 key areas: better attitudes to mental health; advancing human rights; preventing suicide; supporting advocacy rights; boosting consumer participation in public services; better access to community supports; and greater living affordability.
